How can a woman who wrote the definitive manual for writers of erotica, sex, goth, et al (Writing the Erotic Romance), write so poorly? Jeez Louise! I understand the characters are super human, but, er, Morgan?, your readers are human. Try to relate ... just a tad, okay?

Morgan has issues. She wants to be the vamp, but not the victim. Take lovers on her terms. Has she had any lovers lately?

I bring this up because she is Holly Lisle in black. They spread their respective angst all over the page. It's her fantasy and y'all can applaud or go the heck away.

Sorry. Writing is a collaborative process. Writers write, readers read. It's like a dance. Except with writers like this, well, she's left dancing by herself.
I debated on buying this book - the title made me wonder if I would like it. But I read some of the detailed reviews and decided that I would give it a try. Glad that I did. I like Morgan Hawke which was the other reason I took the chance. I recommend this book.
Yeah! This is the reason why I love Morgan Hawke. Love her stories, and love her books. If you love stories about vampires and supernaturals, this is it. Great "hot" erotic scenes. I loved the witty remarks. A definite must add to the collection.
Like this book and wished she had made more like it.
