I really enjoyed this, but wish it had been longer. Lots of unanswered questions by the end, and I felt like it ended just as it got really good. I don't think a novella was the right format for Lady Jessica's tale -- this could have sustained a full-length novel, and then I wouldn't have felt sad to let the characters go.Some grammar and continuity issues -- looks like it wasn't proofread well. But the 1920s atmosphere was delightful. I look forward to the rest of the series.

This is one book in the Martini Club Series. They are all set in the 1920’s. Four friends leave England and head to New York. They all have their own story. This one is about Lady Jessica. She gets a job writing for a newspaper, something she’s always wanted to do. Her friend, Lady Margaret (Meggie) gets a job at Club 501. That is where Lady Jessica (Jess) meets Frank Markov, owner of Club 501. They seem attracted to each other, but will they ever really get together? There’s a lot going on behind the scenes at Club 501. There’s romance, drama, mystery and life’s lessons in this book.
